This logofolio came out of a design class challenge: design one logo a day for 30 days straight. For each brand, I was handed only a name and a single sentence describing what they do, then had to land on a distinct, memorable mark using only one color – black or white.
The constraint for this project was fun; I had to use only one color, which stripped away any reliance on color and gradients and forced me to focus on a shape. This limitation gave me some room to play with negative space and line thickness. Most importantly, it gave me more time to spend on finding the right idea and less time worrying about color combinations and the multitude of choices that colors give.
This challenge taught me to generate ideas quickly, turn them into sketches, and transform those sketches into final vectors within 1-3 hours.
